The new edition of this landmark atlas and text builds on the strengths of the previous two editions, with step-by-step guidance to every surgical procedure in head and neck surgery. The book is lavishly illustrated in full colour, with almost 2,600 illustrations, over 2,100 of which are in full colour.
New chapters are included on genetics of head and neck cancer, rehabilitation after surgery, implants and prostheses and orbital tumours, and there are chapters reviewing other treatment options in the field (radiation therapy and medical oncology) as they relate to the overall management and outcome of the patient.
Further expanded chapters cover reconstruction after ablation and surgery of the larynx and trachea, and all new surgical techniques are included. Each chapter features short sections on complications and or procedure and outcome data from Dr Shah's renowned department at MSKCC is detailed throughout.
