Demonstrates a subvastus technique for total knee replacement that allows for complete lateralization of the patellofemoral mechanism without violating the quadriceps mechanism or requiring patellar eversion. The exposure is typically performed through a 4- to 5-inch incision and can be applied to most patients, except those with severe deformity or requiring revision surgeries.
